One of our favourite analogies of the Christian life is that of joining a journey, or as John Bunyan would have called it, a pilgrimage. The word for pilgrim comes from the Latin per agri , meaning ‘through the fields’ – suggesting engagement, perhaps even going out of one’s comfort zone.
We invite you to a pilgrimage with God and with his family; a pilgrimage full of potential, a pilgrimage of discovery, of growth, of hope, of intrigue, of faith, of adventure and of real life – with all its ups and downs – but lived out God’s way. The Bible is full of stories that explore this theme and at Elstow Abbey we would love to invite you to come and join us on this pilgrimage of life.
