Friends – 100 Club

Dear Friend,

FOR A MONTHLY CHANCE TO WIN A CASH PRIZE JOIN OUR “100 CLUB”!

The basic concept of a ‘100 Club’ is that 100 or more participants purchase in advance one or more entries into a monthly prize draw. Each month 55% of the total entry fees are distributed as prizes, and the remainder is retained by The Friends. Where participants can Gift Aid their annual entry to the monthly draw, The Friends can claim basic tax relief on the 45% of the subscription that is not distributed as prize money. Entry to the 100 Club is not restricted to members of The Friends only, although we would welcome participants to become members, and we also hope that members of the Friends would wish to participate.

Each monthly entry into our 100 Club draw will be £5, representing an annual subscription of £60 paid in advance. With 100 participants the total monthly prize money would be £275, and this would increase proportionately if we attracted more than 100 participants.

Please help The Friends by joining the 100 Club today, and give yourself a monthly chance of winning a first prize of £125 (if we enlist 100 entries). Simply complete the form and use the address it gives at the top to return it to Patrick Luffman. If you are a UK tax payer, please also complete and date the Gift Aid declaration.

The 100 Club will not start-up and standing orders and cheques will not be processed until we consider we have enough entries, ideally 100 or more (it is taking us quite a few months to enlist enough participants). The first prize draw will be made within a month of the start.

Simply click on this link to the Application Form.

We need you to print the ‘pdf’ file, then complete it in ink. If you are a UK taxpayer we’d be grateful if you would also complete the Gift Aid declaration therein. Finally please post the paper form back to the address given. We’ll do the rest.”

Below there are links to a letter where there is space to record your entries also an aide-memoire about Gift Aid. To accompany the letter there is also a link to the Rules of the Club for your reference.
