Palm Sunday

Welcome to the weekly message for Palm Sunday.Palm Sunday

Soon we will stand at the beginning of Holy Week when we are invited to travel with Jesus and his disciples to the cross and beyond. We are ‘Easter people’, marked by the cross. Please have a look at the service times this year and join in if and when you can (in church or online). All our services for Holy Week and Easter have had to be adapted to be in line with current guidance, but at least this year we can gather together to celebrate Easter which is a big step forward from this time last year.

This Sunday the 9:00am Holy Communion will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube Channel later in the day and the 10:00am will be live on Facebook Live, as will all the Holy Week Services.

As I write this the government and Church of England have just updated their advice on how we can currently worship and I will be speaking with the standing committee to see how this might affect our Easter Day Celebrations.

We will still have our  Sunday’Zoom Coffee and Natter’.  Whilst officially the governments ’Stay at home’ order remains in place it is still not appropriate for us to ‘mingle’ and natter at the end of the Sunday services, so the Zoom Coffee and Natter remains the ideal way to catch-up with each other.

There is an online Zoom Sunday school again this week at 11:00am (let me know if you’d like to join so a link can be sent to you).

Welcome to the weekly Church email for the Third Sunday of Lent. Last week saw us reach our self imposed capacity of 30 people at the 10:00am Sunday Parish Communion.  Much as it’s lovely to see people have the confidence to return to church, it is important that we remember that we are still in Lockdown and that Step One (part one) doesn’t come into play until Monday 8th March. We still must be patient if we are to reach the goal of all restrictions being lifted from June 21st.
This Sunday there will be a 09:00 Holy Communion from the FEPOW Chapel which will be live-streamed to our YouTube Channel:
And the 10:00am Parish Communion from the Abbey Nave which will be live-streamed to our Facebook page:
At both services we will limit the numbers to a maximum of 30
There is an online Zoom Sunday school this week at 11:00am (let me know if you’d like to join so a link can be sent to you).   We will also gather at 11:30am via Zoom on Sunday for the weekly coffee and natter.
