Elstow Tea Garden

The Tea Room with a difference – it’s outside! “An outdoor tea room – in England?” … Don’t worry, our garden is very sheltered and there are gazebos for visitors.Elstow Tea Garden

Elstow Tea Garden provides a relaxing, welcoming space where you can experience the atmosphere of this lovely, historic English village, whilst enjoying good food or, if you wish, just a cup of tea.

Elstow Tea Garden is close to the historic 11th century Elstow Abbey – the entrance is immediatly opposite the ruins of the former cloisters and Hillersden Mansion. Just a minute’s walk away is the tranquil Elstow Village Green, with its beautiful medieval market house –  the Moot Hall.

Do come and visit us – we look forward to meeting you soon.

Our usual opening times for 2023:   Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 10am to 4pm

We close the tea gardens during the late autumn and winter months.

Directions:    From Elstow High Street, turn into Church End. Drive to the far end of the village green and then bear left onto the Abbey Church’s car park. In the stone wall, you will see a set of oak gates leading into the churchyard.

Walk through that gateway and follow the pathway, past the belltower and, just past the western doors of the Abbey, you will find Elstow Tea Garden on the right, opposite the ruins of Hillersden’s Mansion.

Please telephone before you come to check that we are open.
