Mike Stewart

We are delighted to confirm that the Rev’d Mike Stewart is to be our new Team Vicar and Pioneer within the Elstow Team of Churches (Elstow Abbey, St Mary’s Cardington, All Saints Wilstead, St Michael & All Angels Bedford and All Saints Houghton Conquest).
Mike is currently an Assistant Curate in the Diocese of Coventry. Prior to ordination Mike was a professional gardener and has worked at a number of large country estates throughout the country: Arbury Hall, Waddesdon Manor and Highgrove House to name a few. Mike’s last job was as Estate Manager at Hampton Lucy House. Whilst there, his duties included management of the House, the Garden and also a flock of sheep – an experience he thinks will hold him in good stead as he prepares to join us. Mike is recently married to Helen and they have three older girls.
Mike enjoys meeting new people and is always happy to get together over a coffee or a nice pint of ale. Mike also has a passion for cricket, if not necessarily at the greatest skill level. He plays golf and recently started to learn to sail.
